Volkswagen Steering Wheel Control and amplifier interface (White Instrument Cluster Display)

This interface is designed for selected Volkswagen, Seat and Skoda vehicles with the quadlock connector at the back of the radio and the white instrument cluster display. It allows an aftermarket stereo to be installed while retaining the original steering wheel audio controls, including the phone button, and it also keeps the standard parking sensor and climate information shown on the car’s central display between the clocks.

PLEASE NOTE: To retain multifunction display information such as ParkPilot OPS or climate settings on the new aftermarket radio, an infoadapter interface is required.

It is important to note that this interface only retains steering wheel controls and the standard parking sensor and climate information on the instrument cluster display between the clocks. It does not retain any multifunction display information on the new aftermarket radio. To retain functions such as ParkPilot OPS or climate settings displayed on the new aftermarket head unit, you will require an infoadapter interface or one of the dedicated display retention fitting kits.

Alongside control retention, the interface also provides useful installation outputs including CANbus ignition, CANbus speed pulse, reverse gear, and handbrake signals for the new stereo. It also provides a CAN amplifier turn-on signal for vehicles fitted with the original Dynaudio sound system, and it switches on factory sound system amplifiers in compatible Skoda models.

This interface is designed specifically for vehicles with the white display and will not work with the red display found in some vehicles. A dedicated 49-Series patch lead must be ordered with this product to connect the interface correctly to the new stereo.
