CANbus steering control and Amplifier Turn On interface for Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles.
Switches on the original amplifier, retains the use of the steering wheel controls and give speed pulse, handbrake and reverse gear CAN outputs.
This interface connects to the CANbus wires at the back of the radio. These are white and white/orange wires in pins 5 and 6 in the 22 way connector. Vehicles from 2005 generally had the CANbus wires present at the radio. We do recommend removing the head unit to check if the CANbus wires are present if the vehicle around a 2005 production year.
The CANbus interface retains the use of the original audio controls on the steering wheel with an after market head unit.
The interface also switches on the original amplifier in the car via a CANbus turn on signal.
Gives out speed pulse, reverse gear and handbrake CANbus signals.
This model is universal and can be used with Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer and Sony Head-units.
An additional patch lead is required to suit the brand of radio being fitted.
