Upgrade your BMW E46 with a modern 9-inch touchscreen multimedia receiver whilst retaining factory steering wheel controls and maintaining a clean OEM-style dashboard appearance. Designed specifically for BMW E46 models from 1999 to 2006 equipped with the factory OEM navigation system and rear-mounted tuner configuration, this complete fitting kit provides everything required for a professional stereo installation.

Originally developed for the Pioneer SPH-PF97BT, this fitting kit is also compatible with selected 9-inch Perfect Fit stereos that utilise the same mounting platform, including the Pioneer SPH-PF97BT, Alpine INE-AX809 and Kenwood DMX80AXS.

The supplied steering wheel control interface allows compatible aftermarket stereos to retain original steering wheel audio controls whilst maintaining important vehicle integration functions. The included rear tuner integration components are designed specifically for vehicles where the factory radio module is located remotely within the vehicle. Aerial adapter connections help maintain radio reception, whilst the vehicle-specific fascia panel creates a seamless factory-style finish around compatible 9-inch Perfect Fit stereos.

This upgrade solution enables BMW E46 owners to replace outdated OEM navigation systems with modern touchscreen technology whilst preserving the original appearance and functionality of the vehicle.

This head unit fitting kit includes:

Antenna extension

This cable is used to extend the antenna connection by 4.5 metres

Female ISO to Male DIN antenna adapter

This cable converts the cars existing ISO aerial plug to an aftermarket DIN type used by Clarion, JVC, Pioneer, Sony and other Japanese, Chinese and American radio manufacturers.

Steering wheel control interface

Steering wheel control interface and adapter cable for vehicles with original navigation screens that have the tuner unit in the rear of the car with the round pin connector.. The cable adapts from the 17 Round Pin connector in the car to standard ISO aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable. The CANbus steering wheel control interface is built in to the adapter cable for a plug and play installation. This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio.

Universal patch lead for 29 series interface

This cable plugs into the ICT control box and connects to the 3.5mm socket or single wire on the back of the new head-unit.

This item has loose wires and leads so it can be configured to suit the brand of radio being fitted.

BMW 3 Series (E46) 1999 to 2006 9 inch fascia adapter (MATT BLACK)

Designed specifically for BMW 3 Series (E46) from 1999 to 2006, this fascia is designed for installation of the Pioneer 9” stereo. Built as a bespoke fit for vehicles in the application list, it adapts the dashboard aperture after removing the factory stereo to accept a universally mounted 4-screw head unit. This ensures compatibility with the Pioneer 9 inch system while retaining the original OEM-style appearance of the dashboard.
