BMW 3 Series (E46 Nav Quadlock) – Pioneer PF97 9” Stereo Kit with Steering Control Retention

This Pioneer 9-inch perfect fit stereo package is designed specifically for BMW 3 Series (E46) models from 1999 to 2006 fitted with original factory navigation systems where the tuner unit is located in the rear of the vehicle and uses a quadlock connector. The included quadlock extension harness and K-Bus steering wheel control interface allow the new head unit to integrate with the factory wiring, ensuring the original steering wheel audio controls continue to function correctly.

This kit comes with the Pioneer PF97, delivering wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth hands-free calling and music streaming in a large, responsive 9” touchscreen display, providing a major upgrade over the original navigation system. The kit includes 5m power/speaker extension and aerial extension cables to connect from the rear-mounted tuner to the dashboard, along with a 9-inch fascia adapter panel to ensure a clean OEM-style finish.

This head unit fitting kit includes:

Antenna extension

This cable is used to extend the antenna connection by 4.5 metres

Female ISO to Male DIN antenna adapter

This cable converts the cars existing ISO aerial plug to an aftermarket DIN type used by Clarion, JVC, Pioneer, Sony and other Japanese, Chinese and American radio manufacturers.

Steering wheel control interface

Steering wheel control interface and adapter cable for vehicles with original navigation screens that have the tuner unit in the rear of the car with the round pin connector.. The cable adapts from the 17 Round Pin connector in the car to standard ISO aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable. The CANbus steering wheel control interface is built in to the adapter cable for a plug and play installation. This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio.

Pioneer Patch Lead

Adapter lead to pair an InCarTec 49- series steering wheel control interface to the steering wheel remote input of a Pioneer aftermarket radio.

This short adapter lead connects to the 12 pin micro molex connector on the 49- series interface box and to the steering wheel remote input on the back of a Pioneer radio. The steering remote input on a Pioneer radio is usually labelled "W/R" (wired remote)

Built as a bespoke fit for vehicles in the application list, it adapts the dashboard aperture after removing the factory stereo to accept a universally mounted 4-screw head unit. This ensures compatibility with the Pioneer 9 inch system while retaining the original OEM-style appearance of the dashboard.
