This i-dapter will retain several vehicle display functions when the OEM radio or navigation system is replaced with an aftermarket head unit. Vehicle-specific settings are accessible and displayed on the aftermarket stereo, helping retain important factory menu functions after installation.

Steering wheel control buttons are also supported, including compatible vehicles with steering wheel controls and voice dial buttons.

This interface is suitable for selected vehicles with the following OEM head units, depending on vehicle application, wiring and software:

Output load capacity is 250 mA maximum.

For current requirements over 250 mA, use relay isolation. One relay requires a coil resistance of 75 Ohm minimum. Two relays require a coil resistance of 150 Ohm minimum.

This adapter supports the OEM rear view camera input where compatible. The rear view camera input must be activated and configured in the aftermarket head unit.

• Purple/white: 12V reverse gear signal
• Ochre RCA male: rear view camera input to aftermarket head unit

The i-dapter settings and visualisation are shown through the aftermarket head unit’s rear view camera input.

If the camera image, i-dapter settings or visualisation are not available, connect an additional GND signal to the RCA outer conductor of the camera and head unit connection.

For vehicles with an OEM rear view camera connector:

• Red: Pin 31 Video +
• White: Pin 32 Video -
• Black: Pin 33 Shield

To access the i-dapter settings, press and hold the track up or track down steering wheel control button.

DIP switch settings must be made without the power connection. Reconnect the interface once the settings have been made.

Please refer to the manual for DIP switch settings for the OEM device and the retrofit head unit manufacturer.

Not all vehicle functions are supported on every vehicle. Function retention depends on vehicle equipment, factory software, aftermarket head unit software and the range of functions supported by the retrofit stereo.

• Not all vehicle settings are supported

• Not all vehicle information is visualised
• High beam assistance is not supported
• Driver assistance system is not supported
• Start/stop function is not adjustable

Trailer Assist, E-Call and other driver assistance or comfort systems may not be supported.

• Check the vehicle menu for available settings before installation
• Check the function of vehicle settings and vehicle systems before final installation
• Compare the listed OEM head units with the vehicle’s factory radio
• Compare the pictured harness connectors with the connectors in the vehicle
• Make sure the connectors match visually and technically
• Check the installation recommendations for each component

Reimported vehicles or vehicles with different software may be incompatible with some functions.

Vehicle compatibility can vary depending on factory radio, vehicle wiring, software and aftermarket head unit support. Not all functions are retained on every vehicle.
