This complete fitting kit is designed to install an aftermarket Double DIN car stereo into Ford Ranger 2012-2016 models with the factory-fitted display above the original radio. It is intended for vehicles with the original 4.2 inch screen at the top of the dashboard and provides a cleaner, vehicle-specific solution for upgrading to a modern head unit.
The kit includes a matt black flush-mount fascia panel, a steering wheel control interface, a universal head unit patch lead, and a male Fakra to male DIN aerial antenna adapter. The fascia uses side fixing brackets that mount directly to the new radio and fascia panel, removing the need for a fitting cage and helping create a flush professional finish. It also comes with replacement central locking and hazard switches plus the switch adapter cable.
The included steering wheel control interface retains the original Ford steering wheel controls, keeps time and date change functions, and retains OEM parking sensor audio with a new parking buzzer. It also provides CAN ignition, speed pulse, park brake, reverse gear, antenna remote and illumination outputs, which can be useful when fitting compatible navigation or multimedia stereos. A patch lead is required for the steering controls depending on the make of radio being fitted, and that lead is included in this kit. The supplied aerial adapter converts the factory Fakra antenna connection to a standard DIN connection for an aftermarket stereo, but it is a passive adapter and is not suitable for vehicles that require phantom power for the antenna amplifier.

Ford Ranger Double DIN fascia kit (50-924)
Car radio fascia adaptor panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket double DIN car radio upgrade.
The fascia adaptor allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio.
This fascia kit uses side fixing brackets, the brackets fit directly to the sides of the new radio and the fascia panel. This replaces the need for a fitting cage and gives a flush professional appearance to the installation.
The fascia kit comes with replacement central locking and hazard switches and an adapter cable for the switches.
