Upgrade the factory stereo in selected Ford Ranger and Everest models while retaining steering wheel controls, phone buttons and supported vehicle information. Designed exclusively for vehicles with the factory 8-inch SYNC 2 or SYNC 3 system, the InfoAdapter can display climate settings, parking sensor information and supported vehicle menus on a compatible aftermarket AV head unit. It also provides speed pulse, park brake and reverse outputs.

This InfoAdapter interface allows a compatible aftermarket stereo to be installed in selected Ford Ranger and Ford Everest models originally fitted with an 8-inch SYNC 2 or SYNC 3 multimedia system.
It retains the vehicle’s factory steering wheel audio controls and supported phone-button functions while allowing selected vehicle information to be shown on a compatible aftermarket AV head unit. Supported displays can include climate-control information, parking sensor graphics and vehicle settings that would otherwise be lost when removing the original stereo.
The interface also provides useful outputs for speed pulse, park brake and reverse gear. A stereo-specific patch lead is required to connect the interface to the steering wheel remote input of the aftermarket head unit.
Replacing the factory 8-inch SYNC 2 or SYNC 3 system can cause access to steering wheel controls, climate information, parking graphics and selected vehicle settings to be lost.
This InfoAdapter communicates with the vehicle and transfers supported information to a compatible aftermarket AV head unit. The InfoAdapter menus are operated using the vehicle’s original steering wheel controls.
Important: Suitable only for vehicles originally fitted with the factory 8-inch SYNC 2 or 8-inch SYNC 3 multimedia system.
It is not suitable for vehicles with a different factory radio, smaller SYNC display or alternative audio-system configuration.

Not every factory menu or vehicle setting is supported. Available functions can vary according to the exact vehicle specification.
To display the InfoAdapter graphics, the aftermarket stereo must have a compatible RCA reversing-camera input and a suitable screen.
The camera input is used to display supported climate, parking sensor and vehicle-information graphics generated by the interface.
A brand-specific steering wheel control patch lead is also required. Select the correct patch lead for the make and model of aftermarket stereo being installed.
An additional patch lead is required to connect the interface to the steering wheel remote input of the aftermarket stereo.
Patch leads are available for compatible Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer, Sony and other aftermarket stereo brands. The correct lead must be selected for the stereo being fitted.
The patch lead should normally be connected to the interface before power is applied. Follow the instructions supplied with the interface and patch lead.
The stereo-specific steering wheel control patch lead is not included unless stated separately and must be selected for the aftermarket stereo being fitted.
This interface is designed specifically for the Ford Ranger MK3 Facelift 2016-2022 and Ford Everest 2015-2022 with the factory 8-inch SYNC 2 or SYNC 3 system.
Before ordering, confirm the original screen size, factory multimedia system, vehicle connectors and installed equipment. Ford made specification changes during these production years.
Retained functions depend on the vehicle specification and the capabilities of the aftermarket stereo. Not all original vehicle menus or settings may be supported.
A compatible aftermarket multimedia stereo with an RCA camera input is required to display the InfoAdapter graphics.
