This complete 9 inch stereo upgrade fitting kit is designed for selected Ford Transit Custom Euro 6 Trend, Limited and Sport models manufactured between 2016 and 2018. It is intended for vehicles with a display above the radio and a passenger airbag status light built into the factory radio.
The kit includes a vehicle-specific 9 inch fascia, 29-CTF018 CAN-Bus steering wheel control interface, universal patch lead, AM/FM aerial adapter and Ford OEM passenger airbag light assembly.
The interface retains the vehicle's basic steering wheel audio controls with a compatible aftermarket stereo. It can also provide ignition, illumination, reverse and speed-pulse outputs, depending on the vehicle specification and head-unit requirements.

Due to the size of the 9 inch display, the passenger airbag light cannot be retained in its original position below the factory radio. Airbag status remains displayed on the vehicle's instrument cluster or dashboard.
Ensure the vehicle's power is fully switched off before disconnecting the factory radio or airbag light connector.
Carefully disconnect the passenger airbag light connector from the rear of the factory radio assembly.
Connect the supplied Ford OEM passenger airbag light assembly to the original connector in the vehicle.
Safely position the connected assembly behind the new stereo and confirm it is reconnected before restoring vehicle power.
Most 9 inch Perfect Fit stereos have a much shallower chassis than a conventional 2-DIN stereo, meaning less work is usually required behind the dashboard.
The reduced depth creates more space for the interface and wiring, potentially reducing installation time for professional fitters and retail customers.
This kit is for selected Ford Transit Custom Euro 6 Trend, Limited and Sport 2016-2018 models with a display above the radio and passenger airbag light incorporated into the factory radio.
The 29-CTF018 interface retains supported basic steering wheel audio controls. The new stereo must have a compatible wired remote-control input, and available functions depend on the vehicle and stereo.
On Ford Transit Custom vehicles, this interface does not support the original time/date display or trip computer. Factory AUX and USB retention is also not supported.
The included Ford OEM passenger airbag light assembly must be connected to the original vehicle plug and safely secured behind the new stereo before vehicle power is restored.
The included 21-106 is a passive Fakra-to-DIN aerial adapter. It does not provide phantom power and is unsuitable for aerial systems that require a powered antenna amplifier.
Before refitting the dashboard, test the stereo, steering wheel controls and radio reception. Confirm that the passenger airbag light assembly is connected and safely secured before restoring vehicle power.
