A Fakra to DIN aerial adapter with phantom power support helps maintain reliable radio reception, whilst the vehicle-specific fascia panel delivers a seamless OEM-style dashboard finish.

This head unit fitting kit includes:

Antenna adapter cable

To maintain radio reception, the kit includes an antenna adapter cable with bullet connector. This converts the Fakra connector in the car to a DIN connector used by aftermarket stereos. The adapter features a built-in module providing a phantom power feed to the car’s original antenna amplifier. A loose wire must be connected to the 12V antenna power output of the new Pioneer stereo to activate the feed.

Steering wheel control interface and patch lead

This interface uses quadlock connections behind the original radio to allow the use of the original steering wheel control buttons with a new aftermarket head-unit. It also provides CANbus outputs as well as Ignition, speed pulse, reverse gear, handbrake and illumination signals to the new stereo.

Mercedes SLK (2009–2011) 9 inch fascia adapter (MATT BLACK)

Designed specifically for the SLK, this fascia is designed for installation of the Pioneer 9” stereo. Built as a bespoke fit for vehicles in the application list, it adapts the dashboard aperture after removing the factory stereo to accept a universally mounted 4-screw head unit. This ensures compatibility with the Pioneer 9 inch system while retaining the original OEM-style appearance of the dashboard.
