Retain the original reversing camera when replacing the factory radio in selected Toyota vehicles with a 24-pin camera connection. The updated plug-and-play harness connects through ISO, reducing additional wiring and making installation quicker and easier. An integrated voltage converter drops the vehicle’s 12V DC supply to 6V DC, providing the correct power supply for the original Toyota parking camera. Connects to the RCA camera input of a compatible aftermarket stereo.
Retain the vehicle’s original Toyota reversing camera when replacing the
factory radio with a compatible aftermarket stereo. This camera retention
interface is designed for selected Toyota vehicles equipped with the
original 24-pin camera connection.
The updated harness now features a plug-and-play ISO connection, helping
reduce additional wiring and making the installation quicker and easier.
The factory camera video signal is converted to an RCA connection for the
reversing-camera input on the new aftermarket head unit.
Many original Toyota parking cameras operate from a 6V supply rather than
the 12V supply commonly found in aftermarket installations. Connecting the
original camera directly to 12V could prevent correct operation and may
damage the camera.
The voltage converter integrated into this harness reduces the 12V DC
supply to 6V DC. This powers the original Toyota camera correctly while
the camera’s video signal is supplied to the RCA reversing-camera input
on the new stereo.
The ISO arrangement also supplies the required connections through the
stereo harness, helping make the installation neater and more
straightforward.
Suitable for selected Toyota vehicles equipped with an original
factory-fitted reversing camera and the compatible 24-pin camera
connection.
The replacement aftermarket stereo must have a dedicated RCA reversing
camera input and support automatic reverse-camera display.
Depending on the vehicle and stereo being fitted, an additional
vehicle-specific wiring interface, steering-wheel-control interface,
antenna adapter or fascia adapter may also be required.
Connect the harness to the matching factory camera connector and ISO
wiring, then connect the RCA plug to the reversing-camera input on the
aftermarket stereo. The stereo’s reverse trigger must also be connected
correctly so that the camera image appears when reverse gear is selected.
This interface is intended only to retain a compatible original
factory-fitted Toyota camera when installing an aftermarket stereo. It is
not designed for adding an aftermarket camera to the original Toyota
display.
Test the camera image, reverse switching and stereo operation before
fully reassembling the dashboard. Professional installation is
recommended if you are unsure about the vehicle connections or stereo
configuration.
