Upgrade the factory RCD 510 radio in selected Volkswagen vehicles while retaining the original steering wheel controls and Dynaudio amplified audio system. Designed for compatible VW Golf, Passat and Touran models with a Quadlock radio connection, this CAN-Bus interface provides ignition, illumination, speed pulse, reverse gear and park brake outputs.

This steering wheel control interface allows the factory RCD 510 radio/CD system to be replaced with a compatible aftermarket stereo while retaining important original vehicle functions.

A compatible head-unit connection lead, also known as a patch lead, is required to connect the interface to the steering wheel remote input of the aftermarket stereo.
Select the correct connection lead for the make of stereo being installed. Compatible options are available for brands including Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer and Sony, as well as selected resistive-learning stereos.
The vehicle must be equipped with the compatible factory Dynaudio amplified system and RCD 510 radio/CD system.
The connector behind the original radio must be the matching Quadlock type. This interface is not intended for vehicles with a different factory amplifier, radio or connector.
Steering wheel functions depend on the controls fitted to the vehicle and the capabilities of the aftermarket stereo. Typical retained functions can include volume and track controls.
Phone button operation requires a compatible aftermarket stereo and the correct brand-specific connection lead.
Connect the interface harness to the matching factory Quadlock connector and follow the interface programming sequence before operating the new stereo.

This interface is specifically designed for compatible Dynaudio-amplified vehicles. A different interface may be required for a vehicle without the factory Dynaudio system.
