The kit retains the factory steering wheel controls, AM/FM and DAB aerials, original USB socket, parking sensor display, climate control visualisation and factory reverse camera where originally equipped. Suitable for compatible aftermarket Double DIN stereos and Single DIN floating-screen head units.

Volkswagen MIB/PQ Double DIN Stereo Upgrade Fitting Kit

Upgrade the factory stereo in selected Volkswagen Beetle, Caddy, Jetta and Sharan models while retaining a wide range of important original vehicle features.

This complete Volkswagen stereo fitting kit is designed for compatible vehicles fitted with an MIB/PQ system and a factory-installed Composition Colour, Composition Media or Discover Media head unit. It allows a compatible aftermarket Double DIN stereo or Single DIN floating-screen head unit to be installed with a clean, vehicle-specific dashboard finish.

The included fascia panel uses side-fixing brackets that attach directly to the new stereo. This provides a secure, flush-fitting installation without requiring a conventional metal fitting cage.

Suitable for selected Volkswagen vehicles with compatible factory-fitted Composition Colour, Composition Media or Discover Media systems:
- Volkswagen Beetle: 2015–2019, MIB/PQ system, including selected Composition Media systems with Dynaudio
- Volkswagen Caddy: 2015–2020, MIB/PQ system
- Volkswagen Jetta: 2011–2018, MIB/PQ system
- Volkswagen Sharan: 2015–2021, MIB/PQ system, including selected RCD200, RCD300, RCD310, RCD500 and RCD510 systems

Stereo Upgrade Fitting Kit Includes

Fakra DAB male to DAB SMB female antenna adapter (21-037)

Use to convert the original (Fakra DAB) antenna connector in a car to a female SMB (used on aftermarket head-units)

Double Fakra to DIN antenna adapter (21-139)

This cable converts the original antenna connector in the car, known as a Double Fakra connector, to a standard aftermarket antenna connector, known as a DIN connector.

The adapter cable has a built in module which provides a phantom power feed to the original antenna in the car. A phantom power feed is a 12v power supply that is sent up the centre wire of the antenna cable, this powers the amplifier built into the original antenna. The antenna adapter cable has a loose wire which needs to be connected to the 12v antenna power output of the new aftermarket stereo.

AUX/ USB adapter (24-257)

USB adapter and extension to retain the use of the original dashboard mount USB socket when fitting an aftermarket head unit.

VW, Skoda, Seat original OEM camera retention cable (27-232)

This camera retention adapter allows you to retain your factory reverse camera when installing an aftermarket stereo. The cable connects into the new Quadlock harness used for the new aftermarket head unit, and a separate reverse feed is required to activate the camera on the new screen.

SWC/ Climate Control/ Park Pilot Screen Retention interface (29-CTUVW03)

Car Audio Steering wheel interface allowing use of original buttons with a new aftermarket head-unit.

This interface allows vehicle information such as climate control, parking sensors and heated seats to be displayed on any aftermarket head unit with rear camera input. The Infodapter also allows the use of the steering wheel controls.

Fascia adapter panel (50-699)

Car radio fascia adaptor panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket Double din Car radio upgrade.

The fascia adaptor allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio.

This fascia kit uses side fixing brackets, the brackets fit directly to the sides of the new radio and the fascia panel. This replaces the need for a fitting cage and gives a flush professional appearance to the installation.
