Fiat Ducato, Citroën Relay and Peugeot Boxer Double DIN Motorhome Stereo Upgrade Fitting Kit

This Double DIN fitting kit is designed to allow the installation of a branded aftermarket Double DIN car stereo into select Fiat Ducato X290 2014-2021, Citroën Relay 2014-2021 and Peugeot Boxer X290 2014-2024 van and motorhome models with the factory fitted Fiat 250 VP1 radio system. It is built around the larger-style connector version of the steering wheel control interface and is aimed at clean aftermarket upgrades using brands such as Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, JVC and Sony.

The included gloss black Double DIN fascia is designed to match the original dashboard shape, style, size and colour more closely than a universal trim solution. InCarTec states that it uses side fixing brackets that mount directly to the new radio and fascia panel, and that no cage is required. The fascia is specifically listed for Fiat Ducato, Citroën Relay and Peugeot Boxer facelift vehicles from 2014 onwards, and InCarTec notes that some additional plastic may require cutting during installation.

The steering wheel control interface is designed for Fiat and related vehicles from 2014 onwards with the larger-style connector behind the radio. It retains the original steering wheel control buttons with the new aftermarket stereo and also provides CANbus outputs together with ignition, speed pulse, reverse, handbrake and illumination signals. The product is supplied with a universal patch lead that InCarTec says can be used with Alpine, Blaupunkt, Clarion, Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood, Sony, Zenec and resistive-programming head units, which supports your intended use with mainstream branded stereos.

To retain radio reception, the kit includes the Fakra to DIN aerial adapter with 12V phantom power. InCarTec states that this converts the original Fakra antenna connection in the vehicle to a standard aftermarket DIN antenna connection and includes a built-in phantom power feed to power the amplifier in the original antenna. The loose wire on the adapter must be connected to the 12V antenna power output of the new stereo, and the male bullet connector is designed to make connection easier with compatible ISO cables and steering wheel control interfaces.

Vehicle Compatiblity

This Double DIN stereo upgrade fitting kit is compatible with select Fiat Ducato X290 2014-2021, Citroën Relay 2014-2021 and Peugeot Boxer X290 2014-2024 van and motorhome models with the factory fitted Fiat 250 VP1 radio system.

During installation, the metal fascia clips have been known to fall down the back of the vehicles dashboard. If this happens additional clips can be purchase separately (Part number 80-026)

This Double DIN stereo upgrade fitting kit contains:

Fakra to DIN aerial adapter with Phantom Power (21-123K)

This cable converts the original antenna connector in the car, known as a Fakra connector, to a standard aftermarket antenna connector, known as a DIN connector.

The adapter cable has a built in module which provides a phantom power feed to the original antenna in the car. A phantom power feed is a 12v power supply that is sent up the centre wire of the antenna cable, this powers the amplifier built into the original antenna. The antenna adapter cable has a loose wire which needs to be connected to the 12v antenna power output of the new aftermarket stereo.

The phantom power feed terminates in a male bullet connector to make the phantom power lead easier to connect to ISO cables and steering wheel control interfaces with a female bullet connection for the electric antenna turn on

CANbus steering wheel control interface (Larger style Connector) (39-FIA-03)

CANbus steering wheel control interface for Fiat/ Alfa Romeo (2014 Onwards) vehicles with the larger-style connector behind the radio.

This interface uses a larger style connection behind the original radio to allow the use of the original steering wheel control buttons with a new aftermarket head-unit. It also provides CANbus outputs as well as Ignition, speed pulse, reverse, handbrake and illumination signals.

This model is universal and can be used with Alpine, Blaupunkt, Clarion, Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood, Sony or  Zenec Head-units.

It is supplied complete with instructions and a universal patch lead to connect to the steering control input of the above head unit brands

PLEASE NOTE: This fitting kit is only suitable for vehicles with original large gloss black head units. Some vehicles are fitted with original basic single din units or with an open dashboard, these vehicles require different fitting parts.
